Salvadorians with Temporary Protected Status may work beyond the September 9, 2016 expiration. It is illegal for employers to ask these employees for further documentation at this time. TPS is granted to individuals when their country is deemed unsafe for a variety of reasons included unrest, natural disasters, etc.
